Don't do it.
You're going to have to eventually swap it out because it will die. Might as well get it over with.

On the contrary, run it until it dies - if it ever does. Then, once it does die, RMA it to Antec. They know about the problems with their smartpower series, and will take pretty much every psu in a RMA no questions asked.
If you get a new psu now, you risk it not having proprietary connectors for any new equipment that may come out when you do decide to upgrade your system again.
It will easily handle the extra load ok, there's a decent chance for failure at some point in time, but wait until then to consider buying a new one.
No reason to blow money on something that's not needed.

Bad plan. Horrible plan in fact. Waiting for a PSU to fail is asking for nothing but trouble -- it could /easily/ take the system with it, and you won't be RMAing your motherboard and GPU to Antec along with that POS.
Are you just making guesses? Have there been incidents where this has happened? I actually have a smartpower unit. When mine went, nothing else did. I guess I'm making an assumption here too - but I'm guessing the failure with mine is the same as everyone else's.. which only rendered the psu useless. But if the power supply was at fault for damaging any other components, you can be damn well sure I'd have antec paying for it.

Twice. Personally. No guesswork necessary. Antec refused to replace components; it's not covered in their warranty.

Same here. Both TruePower II and SmartPower units. When they went, they didn't just "go." Maybe yours did, but that was probably just a failed unit and not a unit that failed BECAUSE of the cap problem these units have. Typically, when a cap starts to leak, the unit doesn't just STOP WORKING. Voltages go horribly out of spec. So much so that the PC may only boot up 1 out of 3 times. Quite frankly, I don't want to risk the potential damage wacky voltages can inflict. And incidental damage is NOT covered under warranty and I wouldn't want to go through the hassle of waiting for parts to die when they die when I can pro-actively prevent it from happening in the first place. Replace the unit now.
