The CoolMax PSU I got about 8 months ago decided to crap out on me. I need to get a good psu and I need to do it cheap (wife getting mad at all the new egg and Fry's purchases...). The box this is going in is a second comp, although I do play games on it.

Sempron 2600
ECS 755 motherboard
4 hard drives
1 dvd drive
768meg memory
PCI-IDE Raid Card
Radeon 9800 Pro vid card.

The PSU I saw on sale at New Egg is this

The basic specs are enough (wattage and 12v) but what about quality?

Unfortunately, there is only one Thermaltake PSU that's 'recommended' by the PSU gurus - and that's the W0057 model. The W0070 model is not one of Thermaltake's higher-quality units to begin with.

Moreover, that low-end Thermaltake unit does not specify the maximum combined wattage of the +3.3v/+5V/+12V rails or even the combined +3.3V/+5V wattage. So, you'll never know what you'll get when you buy that unit.
