"From what I understand Dell was getting most or all the inventory they needed, and we weren't getting sh*t for the longest time (looking at Dell's site you see no lack of delivery/inventory either). In fact, we never received any at launch!!!". Hmmm, OK, I see supply problems. This answer was in reference to the X800PE (Phantom Edition), and the vendor also goes on to say that supply has improved from none to a handful at rather random intervals. Several others back that story up. That is the definition of 'ATI Partner' right there, partners don't make them as much money.
This is interesting, supply has improved from none to a handful at rather random intervals. That really sounds like they have problems producing the chip. Gdd3 ram can't be that short of supply, if ultras are coming out with it. Only 2 of nv's board partners have released ultras with gdd2 ram chips.
