yup, i know i can push my rig more, but i just cant find the right way to do it (this is without buying faster ram or going to H20)

i would REALLY like to break 2.4ghz some how on here, whether it be going to a multi of 12 or uping the FSB 10mhz, but the multi doesnt work unless i give it shitloads of voltage (1.9 is high for aircooling right?) and my ram hates being pushed past its rated speed(damn you value series)


temps are 38 idle 48 load, unless my air conditioner isnt on it will peak at 50C(but its usually on). i wouldnt want to go past 60C (i plan on keeping this rig for awhile)

so, ideas anyone?
 
geil ram needs lots of volts to overclock, what voltage are you running your ram at, id kick it up to 2.8v and try upping the bus

I know you wree talking to him, but i run mine at 3.2v :)
 
Geil does like voltage. Kind of like BH-5 in a way I guess. my Geil Ultra-Platinum sticks (ddr500) would run about 280fsb @ 3.2v before introducing errors.
 
Why can't you go to a multi of 12?

You could get a better heatsink, fan like an SP-97 and tornado. That'll keep it cool :)
