I have been looking for a month for a headset that fits these conditions that I have, that must be met:

  • Removeable mic. I want to be able to take the mic off when watching music and listening to movies. And have it there for Skype and gaming.
  • the ear things must be flexable. Meaning they must be able to angle on their own. I have a big head.
  • Over the head adjustable head thing. I can't stand the around the back of the head kind.

    MOST IMPORTANT, sort of:
  • The ear things must be cloth and very comfortable.

I realize that that last one is subjective as far as the comfort goes, but the CLOTH part is a MUST.

As far as comfort goes, I have the Sony MDR-CD280's and they are the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn.

Now....is all of that doable and currently available in a headset? I honestly don't wanna go the seperate mic route.

Also, many would advise AGAINST "5.1" headphones. Search the forum for previous threads on this topic.
 
hahaha so true.

I've tried some 5.1 headphones and I could not tell the difference from the front and the back. I returned them promptly.

 
Ok. So no go on the 5.1's then.

As for cost? Nothing more than 70-80(USD).

I have. None of them fit my must need conditions.

I guess I have to just keep an eye out for new release products as what I wan't can't be had at the moment.

sweet. hope you like them. I was thinking about getting em but i wanted closed cup headphones and I'm on a budget.
