Sorry all,

I was looking at Seasonic's M12-SS-600HM for a new build because I love Seasonic as a brand/product, at $135 the price didn't seem bad either. But then Newegg flashed this deal by me in my email Corsair 550W with another $5 off with a code and free shipping. That saves me $75 and is still a PSU brand that people here on [h] seem to be enjoying these days.

So, for a system with a Q6600 & 4870, no more then 4 HD's, no RAID but doing some OC'ing will I be set? I figured the 600 was if anything a bit of comfortable overkill, but saving $75 without losing anything, that's hard to pass up.

TIA

The VX550 is a quality power supply. I'd only be worried if you were going with a off brand 550W crap unit.

The VX550 would definitely be a much better buy for $75 less. You'll probably be using around 350W while overclocked if even that, so you'll still have plenty of headroom.

By the way, use promo code EMCAJCCCJ to take off another $5 :).

I pulled the trigger on the Corsair, figure it helps me spend that $70 on the rig now. If I want to switch it out for the Seasonic (due to noise or wanting to go modular) then I can down the road and keep this as a backup.

Thanks for the help all. With tax (damn California!) cost me $91 with the $25 MIR.
