Ok, as I stated in a previous post.. the monitor is absolutely amazing.

Half-Life2 @ 1600x1024 (16:10) ratio.. looks absolutely AMAZING.. no words can describe it.. and it runs smooth as anything on my radeon 9800 pro

World of Warcraft @ 1600x1024... i've never been so attracted to a games surroundings let alone the unbelievable intent of the game. i can play for hours.
Level 30 troll priest on mannagorath.. name is "Gametheory"
:)

The one thing i am not able to do yet is play DVD's.. because recently my DVD-ROM broke.. but that doesnt matter, i have a 50inch flat screen 5.1 bose surround sound system downstairs..

I'm curious on a few things in regard to the monitor though.. I'm sure its been posted a dozen times and been asked a million.. ;)

But, from someone who either has the monitor or knows a great deal on.. plz respond

I am looking for a web-site that would be really good for background specific for widescreen monitors, and good ones at that. Also Screensavers..

Also, i am considering hooking up my gamecube / x-box into the monitor.. But i would love to have the sound going through my computer speakers since i set myself up with 4.1 logitech system.. I'm really not sure how to do this

Also.. I'm actually into the realm of buying a video game just so I can sit here and ejoy the graphics and enjoy great gameplay... If you have any suggestions, plz tell me..

These are currently the games im playing.

Counter-Strike 1.6
Counter-Strike Source
Half-Life 2
Halfe-Life2: Deathmatch
World of Warcraft
Warcraft 3 : Frozen Throne

...as far as your wallpaper pics, try doing a google search on Panoramic Photo

I just use my own photos:) Gotta have a camera with a high enough resolution though. As far as other shots...like graphic art wallpapers.

To get a wallpaper to be 1680x1050 its not gonna be easy.
Deviantart just started a new section for it http://wallpaper.deviantart.com/widescreen/

Other than that...you just need to find a wallpaper larger than your resolution and edit it.

ok dude... I know you're all happy and stuff... but you have to stop posting these same pics in every thread you visit... starting to get annoying... probably more so for the highspeed impaired.

heh, good to know that your as happy with your 2005FPW as i am with mine :) do you have any backlighting issues? mine does, but i dont really notice it even. i had a little 2 person LAN in my basement since sunday of this week, total darkness almost 24/7, the uneven backlighting never bothered me once throughout all of my FT/CSS playing. btw since you play FT, is there any way to get it to run in 1680x1050 so i dont have to deal with stretching or cropping? thanks. i didnt see any option for that res in the settings menu so i figured id ask

http://www.gamewallpapers.com do widescreen wallpapers (and dual-screen wallpapers for anyone that's looking for them).

It also has wallpapers you can use when you rotate your monitor 90 degrees (portrait), which the 2005FPW can do afaik.

The backlighting issue isvery very difficult to notice when its completely dark and a black screen.. but in terms of games it doesnt effect it 1%..

And i haven't played frozen throne YET on the monitor, im to lazy to read back and see if i accidently posted that because im about to go to bed.. but i hope there is a way, because i am in love with this widescreen feature.
