OK I'm guessing everyone knows the drill here on these thingys.:D
I'll be using this computer for school, movies (a lot of HD content), gaming. Looking to run Windows Vista Ultimate super smoothly.

Things that are important to me: performance, stability, heat, quietness, and to a lesser extent, price. Yes, I know I won't be able to get parts that satisfy all those criterae, but those are the points I would like for you to keep in mind.

I prolly won't be overclocking, but I don't want to rule it out completely should I change my mind in the future.

These are the parts I've picked so far (all parts are NOT purchased yet unless stated so):

CPU: Intel C2D e6700 (purchased)
Mobo:Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3
RAM: Mushkin Extreme Performance Series XP2-6400 DDR2-800 CAS4-4-3-10 (996523 (2x1024MB))
Case: Antec P180B
HDD:Western Digital Caviar (WD5000KS) 500GB SATAII 7200RPM 16MB Buffer
PSU: Corsair HX Series CMPSU-620HX
Vid Card: ATI X1800XL (purchased, will be switching to R600 card when it comes out)
Monitor: Westy W1 37" 1080p display (purchased)

Anyway, that's what I have so far. Please tell me what you think, and gimme some recommendations on which parts you think would better suit my needs.
Refer to www.canadacomputers.com for parts and prices.

Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I don't see a problem with it. Just make sure that you have good airflow and you should be fine.

If you want a quiet CPU cooler, pickup a Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B or Tuniq Tower. Another option would be the Ultra 120 w/ Scythe S-Flex fan.

Alright thanks for the suggestions. I think I might go with the Ultra 120, it seems to be just as cool as the Tuniq, but quieter.

might want to drop the harddrive down to maybe -- 120 or 320gb..

up the video card. the 800xl might have a bit of a problem with the westinghouse res

I'm gonna be (temporarily) using an X1800XL, not an 800XL.:D

Also, any reason why I should drop the HDD down to 120/320gb?
