another computer that wont boot 480w antec

i have the antec trueblue power supply rated at 480w when i upgraded my 80GB to120GB the computer does boot right anymore, i can hear the drives trying to spin up but then they stop and try again. if i take the drives out the computer can boot, if i plug them in and turn off the fans it boots, so its not a HW problem. you think this power supply can power

6x 80mm fans
1x areo 7+ CPU HSF
4x HDD's
2x ODD's
1x Mobo
1x radeon 9800 Pro?

do i have to upgrade to a 550w? lol
 
Well, if you knock off 30% for heat and the BS factor you have about 15 real AMPS available. Figure 2 AMPS each to start those drives that leaves you with maybe a bit more then 3 AMPS to start the rest of the system. Double check with a voltmeter but I’d say you’re a bit lite on power.
 
hmm i figured it out

i only have a max of 2 HDDs on each lead and it boots with no problems, i may have somehow had 3 HDD's on the lead before shorting something out. oh well it works, if it dies i'll just go get a 550W lol
