Hi guys, got a question for ya, found SCCP files for my 7940g phone and have it working now on the PSTN through my 2650xm. One thing that i need help with and my google results are failing me is with caller-id, when someone calls in it just shows unknown external call, How can i get CME to send the name and calling phone number? its probably something i have looked over but just didn't think it was it.

If you are using an FXO port for PSTN connectivity, ensure you have caller-id enable on the port, if not add it and then shut / no shut the voice-port

example:

voice-port 0/1/0
caller-id enable

Also, ensure that the telco has caller-id enabled on that line.

I'm not seeing the caller-id feature on the FXO card, only on the FXS card, the FXO card is in the left slot of the only module so it should be 1/1/0 right?

i have another question while i'm at it, the caller-id isn't working still but i have an additional question for you all. Is it possible to get both all the ip phones and phones on FXS ports to ring when there is an incoming call? right now i have the FXO port set with a plar of 1000 which is a line that will be common to all the phones. Is it possible to create a dial-peer that will make the phone on the FXS port get it as well, ive tried creating a dial-peer with a destination-pattern of 1000 but it never rang.

here is my current config on the router if that helps enyone out.

I'm guessing you have a VIC-2FXO, you probably want a VIC2-2FXO.

"Caller ID Requires VIC-2FXO-M1, VIC-2FXO-M2, VIC-4FXO-M1, VIC2-2FXO, VIC2-4FXO, or MRP3-8FXOM1"

thanks for the info, can you use VIC 2 cards on the NM-2V carrier module or will i need a new module as well?

as for my other question, is it possible to have both my IP phones and phones on the FXS ports ring for an incoming call, i can only seem to get the IP phones to.

thank you much. i figured that was the case. I guess i'll just pick up a couple ata 186's for the analog phones in the house, the atas work just like the IP phones right, with buttons and ephone-dn's?
