My A64 3000+ laptop is folding what I think its last WU will be. Dying LCD, battery is mostly for show, CDRW works only when the planets are aligned. It might fold when I'm back at school, but for now this 3903 is the last WU it will fold. I've abused the hell out of it for four years though, so I can't really complain.

And out of the ashes rises a stronger, better boxen.

In the form of a C2D T7500 which is already 39% through a 2653.

Put a monitor on it or just set it up for remote login. Keep it on AC power and it will be a nice, low power boxen.

Actually, it doesn't even need a monitor. Just install a remote desktop viewer or configure Windows terminal services to manipulate the laptop from another computer on the network. Most of my computers don't have monitors on them at all, or input devices FTM. As long as there's nothing wrong with the processor, memory or HD, it can still fold if you want it to.

Oh, I know. I figure that's probably what I'll be doing at school. I probably won't have it eat up more power while I'm home though, I've increased the bill enough as it is.

Still sad to see my daily work box get replaced. C'est la vie.
