So my 9800GX2 was reaching into the 100C and was told to RMA it. I was happy, I will be getting a new card, or atleast, someone is looking into the problem.

Shipped my card in mid-december and arrived at BFG warehouse on 01/12/2009. It's been nearly 3 weeks now and there is no update status on what is going on with my card.

I called in at the end of January and was on hold for 20 minute. Finally someone answered and explained to me that they were out of stock and is now being processed. I asked specifically what "processed" mean, the guy told me that they are getting a card ready to ship out.

It's been almost a week since I last talk to that dude and nothing is happening. BFGtech.com RMA tracking is not updating anything in the "shipped" part.

I'm an all time fan of BFG because of their widely spread excellent customer service and lifetime warranty reviews. But I'm starting to drift away from BFG because of this.

Yeah, seems like BFG might be going downhill. I recommend XFX now.

could also be that due to it being out of stock that they ended up refurbishing the card which could explain the extended length of time.. id give them til the end of the week and give them another call see if they have any update on when it will be shipped..

I'm just going with my last experience with XFX. Had a 8800gt go bad and had a brandnew 9800gt in my hands a week later.

I went thru 4 BFG 280 GTX cards till I got a good one. I'm not the only one on this board who had that problem. With that said Jeff did make good and personally tested the last one before sending it out. After that, no more probs.

Well I am on card number 5 and I am still trying to resolve my RMA issues. Jeff is a great guy and give the company a good lite. But the cards are not.

i have a feeling they're stalling because they are trying to fix these refurbished card... taking as long as they can before customers complain.

they probably have a lot of defective cards, just being fixed until there is an rma process then they try to send out working cards. customers who rush them will probably end up getting bad cards.

what do you guys think?
