Okay, I installed my 7950 and at first I got the black screen, no picture, but my computer booted. I pulled the card, put my other in and went to dell and downloaded all the mother board updates. Flashed bios, etc. put the card back in , system boots up like normal, but no picture until the windows sound come on. I am using 91.45 drivers. Card is recognized. The problem is I am no longer able to get into my Bios because I can not see it. Has anybody come across this yet ? When i updated system drivers I lost my nforce networking capability, no mater what drivers i used it showed cable unplugged. I disabled that and went and bought a 14$ nic card so now that is working.

Here is my system.
XPS 600 - foxconn motherboard, used dells motherboard update.
2 Gig mem
250 and 160 gig hard drives
7950gx2
Dell 2400fpw

yeah I think that's the case with either the forceware drivers or just when you have a 7950gx2...you should be able to press delete during the blank screen (soon if you want to get into the bios)...and it should still take you there.

btw...I don't know if you want to use those drivers unless you have quad sli because those drivers were specifically made for quad...you have only one 7950 card so the new 91.36 drivers might be more suitable for you...

I use the quad drivers on my single GX2 with no problems. I actually saw a little bit of an increase in frame rates.

Okay, i have changed drivers , I have tried 93.31 and I am working on 91.33, no change. I do not get a signal to my monitor from my 7950 until the windows sound comes on, then my desktop appears. Is it possible that only one of the 7950 cards are working ? When I go to antialiasing settings the highest i can get is 8xs. I also have no multi gpu option . Wow, this thing has turned into a pain in the azz...im about ready to send it back. My device manager does show 2 cards though. one ** PCI Slot 1 (PCI bus 3, device 0, function 0) and the other PCI Slot 1 (PCI bus 4, device 0, function 0)

I had something very similar happen. My problem was because my card was not seated properly. If you haven't checked...pull it out and put it back in making sure that it is in securely.

I finaly got it to work, I had to lower my Bios to ver A06, Shows multi GPU and screen shows through boot into startup. And I am a happy camper now ;) Thanks for all the input guys, I can allways count on hardforum.
