Apologies if this has been posted before, I searched and didn't quite find the answer I was looking for.

I will soon be the proud owner of a 2405fpw. I've heard that you cannot display the DVI and the VGA at the same time in "picture by picture" mode, but only DVI/VGA and the other inputs side by side in that mode. Am I mistaken, or is this the truth? Also, anyone have experience with a VGA to S-video/component converter box? I'm wondering if I could go VGA out from the second port on my graphics card to the converter box, then to the S-video input on the 2405 to get picture by picture dual desktop on the 2405.

I'm a novice at all of this stuff (single CRT up to this point) and so I'm trying to figure out what I can do to maximize the 2405. Thanks in advance for all your help.

I still haven't tried DVI yet but if the PiP OSD display tells me anything, it does appear that it treats VGA and DVI as one input so the other picture is from one of the other sources (s-video, component, composite).

I haven't tested having VGA and DVI on at the same time but side by side mode leaves a lot to be desired.
