Well I thought of posting here - but while it touches on the Bulgin switch I thought what I had to ask was a little too off-topic...

Has anyone managed to 'recolor' a Bulgin vandal switch body? By which I mean anodize, paint, etc. to change the stock aluminum finish to something else? I had wanted a black version but found nothing on the Internet where Bulgin sold them as such, so I'm looking into possibly anodizing the case - assuming it can be safely disassembled...

Has anyone attempted this?
.

Those switches are designed to resist tampering, hence the name: "Bulgin vandal resistant switches." I haven't heard of anyone being successful in taking one apart without destroying the switch.
Also, the body of the switch is made out of steel, not aluminum. Which means it cannot be anodized.

Sorry for all the bad news, hope you figure something out. :p
You could always try making your own. Infact, here is a nice guide.
