Annoying Case Vibrations

I got a black coolermaster praetorian case (with all 4 fans that came with it) and just recently it's been making this annoying ass vibration noise (i've had the case for at least 6 or 7 months now with no problems) and it's fairly loud. I know it's the case making the noise, or more specifically the left side panel, cause when i push against it (just a little) the noise stops almost entirely. Anyway i could get it to stop? I have the side panel secured in very tightly so i don't think it's vibrating cause it's not all the way in properly.

Any help is appreciated...

For a quick fix, try a bit of dyna-mat OR go to lowes or home depot and buy one 12"x12" self-adhesive linoliuem (sp) floor tile and stick that bad boy to the inside of that panel.

Try soft-mounting your fans and hard drives. Hard drive suspension works wonders.

make sure all fans and PS and HD's and even CDROM are firmly screwed in tight.

well it's definitely the side panel that's causing the vibrating noise, cause i took it off and i can't hear anything anymore so i'll give this a try:

thanks for the suggestions though

Usually an out of whack or failing fan, quick test each one individually by stopping the fan to see if the noise goes away. Just disconnect one of them and turn it on. Listen for the vibration. Vibration gone? Rinse repeat until you find the culprit. Usually replacing the fan will rid you of the noise and get back any cooling ability lost to the mal-performing fan.

Thin adhesive weatherstripping will also do the trick if it can fit. Depends on case in question. If the case cover also has enough play, I have used adhesive cork stripping or cork dots (usually used to keep cabinets from banging shut) to quiet the cases down.

First post here and also I have the A8N-E mobo and let me ask you do you have the serial port (braket thingy that takes up one pci card slot and hooks up to mobo for serial port) becasue I had the same problem. It was vibrating against the mobo so try to push it down or glue it down and I promise it will stop. I also thought it was the side panel and pushing on it helped slightly. try that out ;)
