Annoying banner AD

Hey guys. I'm not sure how much control you have over what banners display on your website but there is one that is particularly irritating.

Whenever you roll your mouse over, it lets rip with a maniacal laugh. The banner has "When will you die? Take the death quiz" on it.

I really generally dont mind banner ads, but any banner that play sounds without my consent, I always find really obnoxious. You probably all know that "OH MY GOD! NOO WAAAY" ad for the emoticons. Well, this one is right up there on the irritation factor.

Any chance of getting it removed?

I'm on here constantly and have never seen it. You need to provide a link to the ad if you see it again. Is it possible you've got some sort of adware infection overwriting the banner ads that should be there?
 
It looks like the banner ads have localization so you probably haven't seen it because I'm in New Zealand hehe

The banner links to the website: thedeathquiz.com/?nz

So, the "?nz" seems to indicated that its targeted at New Zealanders.

It also has a link saying "Feedback - Ads by Google"
 
i live in christchurch, and i dont get any ads :)

Adding to the obnoxious factor is that the website itself charges $9 a week for a completely useless, pointless service. It's one of those idiotic, "Answer 10 questions and find out the day you are going to die" scams.

Mr_zen256 -> for me, that add is to a Korean computer site. It varies by country...

... although, now that you mention it.. didn't that add used to be newegg?

The banner ads cycle through a variety of different ones. Sometimes I get Ratpadz, sometimes I get Dell NZ, but this one has been coming up over the past couple of days. There should be a law against sound effects in banner ads.

Against the rules because it mentions ad blockers? Fair enough, but that still leaves me stuck with this horrible cackling banner ad :(

It's awful when your listening to music then suddenly this shrieking crazy laughter pierces your tunes! I feel so violated
 
I'm most likely on the forums more than anyone else and I've never seen that ad. Looks like it's localized since Newegg doesn't ship to foreign countries to my knowledge and tonight we seen to be running Ratpadz and Circuit City....no help there either. Sorry.
