Animal Crossing: WW info saved on game card, right?

My DS Lite is acting up a bit, so I'm heading to Toys R Us today to exchange it (for a black one).

I just want to make sure that my saved games in Animal Crossing and Metroid Prime are going to work OK on the new DS Lite. I know some games force you to get a new online identity or something when you try the game in a new DS.

this is true but if you want to keep you original ds-lite id and friend code you will have to transfer the setup data wirelessly from your old ds to the new one it's in the instructions manual of the ds lite or the game manual itself i think.
