I know a lot of people here with Android phones have either tried out or are religiously using the Swype keyboard (presumably through the leaked files that are online). I found the keyboard to be a huge improvement over the standard one, and have been using it for a few months now. Unfortunately, when I looked at my phone this morning, it told me that the "beta has expired, please upgrade your copy of Swype." Now I can't type using the Swype keyboard, only the standard Android keyboard.

This is all fine and well if I could actually BUY a copy of Swype to replace the pre-release copy, but I can't! I missed the open beta of Swype (I have since registered with them, but no email yet), and I can't imagine I'm alone here.

Are there any workarounds?
 
Nevermind, looks like you can find the updated swype beta version quite easily -- here's a link to the post that has both the Droid and Nexus One Swype keyboards listed. Works beautifully...these are even swankier than the original one.
