I have a 9600XT right now but my b-day is coming up and I have a few options.
I was think between a 6200,6600gt, and 6800nu.
I can get the card from circuit city, compusa, and bestbuy. It can only AGP.
What do you suggest?

You cant go wrong with the 6600GT or the 6800. Both should be available any decent computer store. I wouldnt really recommend a 6200 if you plan on gaming.

6600GT. But you still wont see much of a huge improvement.

I would hold out for a g800GT, or an X800Pro. Possibly an XL (they are coming out for AGP)

You can get the 6800nu and unlock 16 pipelines and OC it so that it performs like a 6800 GT. But either the 6600 GT or 6800 nu without any unlocking/OCing will perform fine for today's games. The 6200 is really just ... not that good. (especially turbo cache...)

Over a 9600XT he will. The 9800Pro was much faster and the 6600GT is noticably so.

I'm hoping the 6800nu will drop some more by April. so far I can get an EVGA for $299 and get $50 rebate to make it $249. That's the same price as a 6600gt. But the only reason I said 6200 was b/c it can be modded to 6600. But 6600gt will be my next pick if the moeny thing don't work out. I'm already going to pay for some of it. So...yea. I'm not rich.

maybe it can be mod'd to a 6600 but not a 6600gt. at worst you could get a 6600 and just oc it if youre a little low on moneys
