Ahahaha... It scared the living crap out of me when I saw the 9700pro leading the pack until I realized what it was supposed to represent. Gave me a 1 second ego boost though, I upgraded to a very inexpensive AIW9700pro just a month ago. Definitely the best bang for the buck, even today.

I thought that was a pretty cool idea by Anand. The 9700PRO and 6800GT seemed to top the value charts in nearly every benchmark.

Interesting and useful, but only for a short period of time.

Prices for videocards fluctuate quickly, month to month. Driver performance revisions fluctuate just as fast. Both ATi and Nvidia's high-end cards are overinflated right now due to high demand and low supply (of DDR3) As time passes I'd expect the high-end cards from Nvidia and ATi would be a fair bit higher on the value scale as prices should drop to reasonable below MSRP values.

BTW: I picked up my new AIW9700pro for $270Cdn, which is about $200US.
