Have my new monitor coming this week. I will be hooking it up via Dvi. Is there any reason the other connection. It will mostly be used for work at home and gaming. It will be hooked with a Xfx 7600gt.
Yes meant analog or vga. I have read the past threads but wanted to be sure I wasnt missing anything. I am more than happy with Dvi but see some people switching between the two and wanted to be sure I wasnt forgetting something.

What you see is people using the VGA connection for something like the Xbox 360 because DVI isn't possible and the component is usually not good on a lot of these monitors.
