Well, got my AN7 and AXP-Moble Barton 2400+ in.
Abit AN7
AMD Bartom XP-M 2400+
Thermalright SP-97
92mm 110cfm fan
Kreton Blitz Extreme Speed PC3500 2,3,3,7 (512MBx2) Dual Channel
Right now, I am running at 210x11.5 (2415mhz) at 1.8v core and 40c idle, 46c load air cooled.
At 2300 and 1.65v, it runs around 35idle and 40 load.
I may drop back down to that level as I'm kinda edgy about running it at 1.8v but, that's what it needs at 2400mhz to run Prime95.
I am used to the loud fan. It stays closed in the case and under my desk so it isn't too bad. Like Isaid above though, I may drop it to 2300mhz and 1.65v so I can now finally run that fan a little lower and cut down on the noise some.
I have nothing but praise for that SP-97 Heatsink. The only problem was the lame installation instructions but it was no problem figuring it out.
Kinda scary to me though as I was not sure how tight to put those standoffs so they are as tight as they will go but, the MB under the CPU has a slight bow to it now. They said to tighten down the spring loaded screws until the standoffs moved but, since they won't move, I ended up with the spring loaded screws all the way down. I'm scared I got too much pressure on that CPU core. Other than that, this baby keeps that CPU nice and cool.
That's about peek for right now. Will play with it some more and see what I can tweak out of it and still feel comfortable.
