An irregular setup, seeking advice

So I have a 5870 in my computer atm and I'm trying to figure out how to get my setup going. I don't know if it's a limitation by video card or by what I want setup. I tried searching here and google but there's just so many posts that aren't exactly what I'm looking for.

I have 2 monitors.
Primary: 1920x1080 (DVI-->Hdmi adapter)
Secondary: 1680x1050 (DVI)

However, I also have a capture card I want to duplicate my primary onto. I am able to duplicate the primary if my secondary is not plugged in. My capture uses HDMI-->HDMI. Basically I'm limited to:

Primary + secondary. No capture
or
Primary + duplicated via capture card. No secondary

Is this a video card limitation? Or am I using wrong ports.
