An experiment with black and white

Tried taking a relatively boring shot and desaturating it to b+w, I think it has a bit more of a impact than with the colors. What do ya'll think of it? Critiques and comments are welcome!

also could play around with the color on in ps a bit

i may have made it a tad too dark but you get the idea

care to share what you changed? levels? curves? combination? a little information goes a long way :p
 
the B&W version has more impact IMO. you might also want to try playing with some duotone effects.

actually a new plugin i got called velvia vision, makes digital photos look more like velvia slide film

i added some warm colors to it and upped the slider in it to about 80% and added some contrast all in the plugin
