I was just looking into buying a tv tuner for my pc. I saw that this card had a composite input (yellow rca). I have been wanting to play my consoles on my monitor. Is this what I would have to do? just plug the yellow rca from xbox to the yellow plug in the tv tuner?

Yeah, I have heard of people doing this.

Should work, now i wonder if there is a way to use your console as another DVD-Rom/CD-Rom for your computer...
 
the xbox can do it, i can ftp right to the xbox dvd drive.. and copy files. its just called D:

yep - works great with my PS2 and pretty old TV tuner card..

that requires a modchip or a hack of some sort i thought?

Also remember you can get one of those RCA Left right to headphone converters at Ratshack so you can play your sound though your computer too!

usually the cards have S video in and then have an S video to RCA adaptor. works fine for any equipment.
 
ive tred it, the picture looks nice however there is slight lag, and for me that was enough to send me back to tv, the lag i suppose is caused by encoding times and as far as i can see you wont be able to get rid of it that easily.
 
I have my dreamcast, vcr, and laserdisc player hooked up to my receiver, and then from the receiver to the video in on my tv tuner card. Works great. I've never noticed any delay or lag.
 
I have my Xbox connected to my TV Wonder Pro card using the breakout box, and it plays fine for me.
