Amnesia: The Dark Descent

I got a good discount on this when that Indie Pack deal was going on.
 
This is the same indie Dev who made the Penumbra seriese. I really like their work - will deff get this some time soon.
 
This is what the developer said in that interview linked above:

"Our future as a company depends on this game not flopping, so plenty of butterflies in the stomach.”

I hope that the game doesn't receive critical acclaim, but then nobody buys it (is this what happened with Penumbra?). Based on the strength of the demo, and the fifteen dollar price point, and the IGN and PC Gamer reviews, which were both very praiseworthy, I think I'm going to support the developer and buy this.

Also, it's damned nice to play a game every now and then in which the chief gameplay mechanic isn't about destruction or killing people. It's why I love The Sims, and why I love driving and sports titles.
