ammo can water cooling

I am currently building an ammo can pc case but, before I go any further on the project I need to work out my cooling set up. I decided on water cooling, but I know nothing about it so I need a little help with what to order. I have about 17 L x 6 W x 3.25 D to work with for a radiator/fans and I will be cooling my cpu (undecided but will be intel), chipset (maybe) and gpu (undecided/later on) and I have about $250 for the radiator, res, pump, fans, tubing, and cpu block. Any help would be greatly appreciated
 
Here's a basic plan, you can obviously change anything you want in it.

D-tek Fuzion - $59.95
MCR320 - $44.95 - Definite overkill for a CPU, but if you plan on expanding your loop I'd recommend this or the MCR220.
Swiftech MCRES - $16.95
3 x Yate Loon Medium - $9.45
MCP355 w/ a 3rd party top - ~$90 - $100
Pentosin - $3.50 - Obviously the additives are your choice
Masterkleer 7/16 ID 5/8 OD - $0.59/foot - Same goes for tubing

The total is around $230 - $240 at jab-tech, and it should fit in the space you have, although the MCR320 may push it at 16" long and almost 2.5" deep with fans.
 
I have a swiftech apex ultra kit for sale if interested, apogee gt block, mcp655 pump, 2x120mm rad, microres, tubing...
 
I'd go for Rumandmonkey's setup.

To save a bit of cash (like, 20$) I'd get the MCP655 rather than the MCP355 with the modified top. The MCP655 is also much more reliable than the modded pump!

You can save more cash and space with a Tline setup... But that's up to you. Reservoirs only aid in loop bleeding, not cooling.

The Petras kit is pretty nice, but you shouldn't go with a Dual radiator if you can fit the triple (which you can... as the MCR320 is 16.3" tall, 5" wide and 1" thick (2.25" thick with fans).
 
Are we talking about 5.56mm ammo? I suggest you take a hard look at water cooling that you can utilize 6mm ID tubing with the size of the ammo can you are working on. The suggestion for using 7/16" ID tubing are ridiculous based on available size alone.
