AMD XP underclocking with the wiretrick

I got a motherboard with no multiplier change, I want to underclock with the wire trick to lower the multiplier, but I can only find out how to overclock with the wiretrick.

Has anyone got a good link that can exaplan the wiretrick in a way I can underclock.

AMD XP 1700+(unlocked)
and I want to go to I think a 10x(or 11x) multiplier then I maybe get it running on a 200Mhz bus.

A 1700+ comes stock at 11x though.

And if its a Tbred, it'll do 2200.

thanks, I thought it was 12.5, doesn't matter I still want to go down with the multiplier.

BUT I would like somewhere where it explains the wire trick in the sockets holes.
I have found some but I haven't seen a way to go down instead of up with the multiplier.
