Basically its about time to upgrade my system in my sig.. but what im thinking about is another full size system for home. However.. Id like to put my current system into a SSF case for portability. The pc has been great for me and still runs great thanks to the 6800.. put some more pep into the older box.

Id need one that would fit my card and be able to power it as well. Any suggestions?
 
I can't say enough good things about the SN45G, it's a great XP SFF. I've been running mine for a long time now, and it's been rock solid, even with a 3200+, 1GB RAM, 300GB HD, and a 6800GT on the stock 200W supply. I believe the new SN45G V3 has the 250W supply and SATA, but doesn't have soundstorm.

Just looked around, and it looks like shuttle has a refurb sn45gv1 listed on ebay for $40. So if you don't care about refurb, it might be a good deal for you.

That unit ended up going for 125.. + their crazy shipping of 21 bucks. I passed.

At that kind of price I may as well just pick up a new 64bit one.

I am trying to do the same thing you are with my socket A system, and the selection sucks everywhere ive looked. Ive been thinking about getting this case:
SN41G2 @ TD
It has the MCP-T, but the specs say it only supports 333fsb. Is there any chance this sucker will do 400fsb? Its kinda expensive for not having everything I want, but im about to grab it before Its impossible to find good sktA SFF.
 
Biostar gets as many good reviews on their SFF systems as Shuttle. Worth a look at least.
 
I have 2 Shuttle boxes (my main rig bit the dust from static discharge), an SN85G4 V3 and a SN45G V2. I can't say enough good things about the SN45G. My version is the one with the MCPT2 Soundstorm rather than the SATA. Though I would actually prefer the SATA at this point. And though I'm currently using a 6600GT in that box atm, I also have a GF6800 "vanilla" and can verify that it works just fine with the 250W P/S.
