I have my eye on two systems on eBay, one that has AMD Opteron 6378's in it, the other has Intel Xeon 4607 in it. Which would be the better system for spinning up a ton of small VM's and simulating a network for Cisco & Juniper learning?

Yeah, I just heard that AMD is better at lots of little VM's, so since I'm doing network virtualization, I didn't know which way to go.

which ever has the biggest number of physical cores should be better provided you are not running intensive stuff on each VM, so yeah looks like the AMD is the best choice, i think it has 16 right? and the xeon 6?
