According to DigiTimes, AMD’s recently announced next-generation 65nm Turion 64 X2 dual-core mobile processor should be available in laptops later this quarter.

The new Turion processor is based on AMD's 65nm silicon-on-insulator technology, which provides increased transistor performance, scalability and power efficiency, according to the company. To extend battery life, AMD-based platforms using the AMD M690 chipset incorporate innovative memory technology known as display cache, designed to allow the CPU to operate in low-power mode without accessing system memory.

Very nice. I'm surprised they didn't push the die shrink on the mobile processors earlier, as that's where power savings is most important.
