AMD Say No Recall Is Needed

According to DigiTimes, AMD has stated that recently discovered issue of defective Radeon 2600 and 2400 graphics cards is not industry wide. The company has issued a fix and officials say no recall is needed.

At an AMD organized event to promote its ATI Radeon HD 2000-series graphics products in Taiwan, the GPU maker reiterated that the recently discovered issue which has lead to defective Radeon 2600 and 2400 graphics cards shipping to channels was under control, and that a recall request was not needed..

as long as there is a fix, i dont see no problem, just hope it isnt a difficult fix, now that can be a Problem, but if the average Joe like me can fix it........who Cares?

No recall? In other words: It is so massive that we will just let the customers return their cards if they find the problems. The cards at the vendor level and company level were all “taken back” and reprogrammed with the correct bios.
