just bought the 1600x off newegg, seems to be in short supply... i wanted to wait, but if new runs out, may be hard to find ....okay....i am ging to match it with the msi x370 pro carbon...WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST MEMORY?.......
 
Hit the memory QVL (compatibility list) for your chosen motherboard and find the fastest clock rate RAM you can in the size you want. Or, alternatively, give the G.Skill Flare-X a try, as that memory is supposed to be tuned for Ryzen.

Remember, for Ryzen, clock rate is bit more important than cas latency. You'll want 16GB worth, unless you have a very specific reason to want 32GB, or are *really* cheaping out with 8GB.
 
I can confirm the Flare X are legit and can reach 3200 speed (for the 3200 kit I bought) on the MSI X370 Titanium. Please check your motherboard QVL list to be sure it will work.

If you want to save some money, the FORTIS RAM (also from G.Skill) are AM4 compatible and a bit cheaper.

the flare for some reason is expensive????why
 
While I'm also on the MSI X370 Titanium, I've heard it's very very similar to the PRO CARBON that you have. Nevertheless... I can confirm that these worked for me right out of the box, with zero BIOS updates on my Titanium:

That is the exact kit I bought. Same color, same yellow accent piece (which you can take off with your fingernails and makes them look a LOT nicer). I bought mine Feb 20, so not long ago, but I got mine on sale for $125 :\ ($145 originally, have gone up a bit since then).
EDIT: figure I should mention that while these are 15-15-15-35, the Ryzen currently works a bit funny with CAS (the first 15 is the CAS, aka tCL), and only will run with Even numbers. As such, applying 14-15-15-35 manually is recommended, and is what I run mine at. If you put in 15-15-15, it will actually be running at 16-15-15. You won't really notice in terms of performance either way.

Also that these are 99% the same as the DDR4-3200 FlareX (same Samsung B-die chips), except that these have a much nicer looking (and better quality) heatsink:

The main difference is that these will have Intel's XMP timing profile, and the FlareX will have one specific for AMD; however, the Intel XMP profiles will be selected if you choose the A-XMP option in the BIOS. ;)

ok...the first one was not listed...but i did find some trident 3200 memory on my compatilbily list, has a different ram number.....it could be the difference between the titanium and pro carbon boards.
