i have been thinking of making the switch from a nvidia gpu , currently have Gtx 750ti SC, to a amd but was wondering if anyone with an Rx 480 has seen issues with it or if I need to keep anything in mind when doing this.

You've posted in the wrong forum... unless you are talking about the compatibility between AMD systems and the AMD RX 480? In that case it would help if you posted what CPU and Motherboard you have. In 99% (or more) of the cases you shouldn't have any compatibility issues.

I have an RX 480 and it runs just fine, no issues, but it's on an Intel system.

You will see a large performance jump from your 750 Ti to the 480, thats for sure.

Been using the RX 470 on one of my rigs. It's nice for the price.

AMD's driver interface is way nicer now and looking like it was designed in this era.

1) Make sure you're running a supported OS (Windows 7, 8.x, 10, all 64-bit editions)
2) Completely nuke all nVidia drivers (use DDU to be sure--basically the nuke it from orbit to be sure option)
3) Ensure you have at least a PCIe 2.0 motherboard (it's a PCIe 3 card but has been known to work in at least some PCIe 2.0 boards)

Enjoy your new video card! As someone else posted, you'll get a much needed boost in performance going from a 750 Ti to a RX 480.
