I am in the middle of my first build I have bought the GPU portion now only the processor and mobo left but i'm interested in the video card's performance. I know the numbers by heart at this point but haven't had a chance to test since my current motherboard doesn't support it. so I need some nice reviews that will give me a piece of mind that it will be good enough for need for speed MW. COD black ops 2, and assassins creed, etc.

What resolution are you going to be playing at? Anything over 720P is really going to hurt that card...Since you already have the card, I would either return it, or if that isn't an option, I would look into getting an AMD APU, since the higher end models have an onboard GPU with the same amount of power of this GPU and you can do what is called Hybrid CrossFire, which will boost the performance quite a bit...

You really picked a very low performance card, and like I said, if you can't return it, then getting an APU is going to be the way to go to make the best of a non ideal situation...

I cant go over 720p because I only have dvi screen hook up plus I only intend to do some mild gaming right now I can get a gtx280 for 35 dollars plus shipping.
btw thanks for the piece of mind ;)

DVI is not limited to 720p. I would wait for the new cards to come out and get a 7xxx series AMD card. That is what I'm doing. Looking at the 7850 and 7870.

If you cannot return that 6770, I think you should still be fine. I have a XFX 6770 1GB DDR5 card in my work machine right now. With the FX 8320 overclocked to 4.4 GHz, NFS Most Wanted, the newest version, played great. (No Super sampling AA and only medium geometry settings but otherwise, it looked and played great at 1920 x 1080.)

I played the same game at 1280x1024 no problem even though my system started crashing frequently because of incompatible hardware (GPU) so now im back to my NVidia gs6800 which cant play it. I have the same card just the HIS (not iceq)
