AMD PII @Newegg

Are you trying to be funny? Seems like a bad attempt.

How is my post a feedback compare to newegg which rates a product. Unless you fail elementary school and can't see the difference then I understand where your coming from.

Somewhat funny/humorous, more sarcastic perhaps, plus I commited the same crime you did by making a comment on a comment, but you failed to see this bit of humor .

No, I didn't fail elementary school, didn't fail college either, did you?? Did you buy the product?? If not, then you fail to adhere to your 'advice'/remark, if you did buy it then great. However, people do indeed make comments on whether they bough an item or not. I did not buy a PH2, but instead bought a relaed product, the X2 7750 with an Agena core rather than a Deneb core. I too wish to see the new line of AMD's do well as they seem they may, since the competition will hopefully lower prices across the board.

I guess you really can't tell the difference between a post and a feedback.

There isn't any, since a person has to post feedback in order for the post to be feedback to a previous post.;) A reply to any previous post is feedback and also a post. Maybe a bit complex for some:confused: to understand?? :D

The case isn't closed anymore now than it was in you other failed thread. It takes a little too much confidence in oneself to assume everything one said is automatically true even before the rebuttal..

Yet again you've magically transferred your personal concept of what an "enthusiast" is to this topic, and somehow applied it to only those people who lust after the absolute best hardware available regardless of cost. That is not what it takes to be an enthusiast and your definition just proved it even if you chose to interpret it differently. I consequently find it insulting that you feel the need to negatively stereotype other [H] users so. So really, do you want the 99% of the population that can't afford the most expensive processors on the market to just leave this forum or shut up? Is that the kind of [H] we want? 'Cause that is seriously what we are talking about here if we allow members to bash other members simply because they set their sights a little bit lower...

Kyle's review conclusions are perfectly valid when you ignore cost. When you limit your scope of data to the competing Intel processors within the same price range and factor in the price per performance benefits to those 'non-enthusiasts', who already own AM2+ hardware, the picture changes more than you are willing to accept. I don't know what this data is people think they have seen that says putting $235-$275 into system and getting a PHII to 3.8+ghz is a bad investment. I have certainly never been depressed over whether or not I could gain 5%-10% by completely rebuilding my system at what I consider to be a massive cost. I certainly hope to never fall into that way of thinking during my lifetime. No matter how many times you regurgitate the idea that buying a new processor, even the lower priced i7 920, plus a new motherboard, plus new RAM can equate with putting a Phenom II into a respectable gaming machine for a huge boost in performance at a fraction of the cost, it simply doesn't equate in my mind. At the very least you could dig a little into yourself and maybe accept that those who came to positive conclusions from Phenom II performance are just as right as the Intel-thumpers.

Yours truly,
a Non-Enthusiast

Well said. Now to get back on track. Newegg is offering $15 off both Phenom II models but with the coming Intel price cuts that is probably just the start. I look forward to the 940 at around $225 at which point I will be putting together a Demo system built around it. Then I can run it against my Q6600 sytem to see which I like better.

Ah it make so much sense now. Even though people would actually rate a product that they did not buy providing inaccurate reviews on a product is the same as forum post which rates nothing at all.

I guess I should consider oranges and apples the same fruit then right?

Some people are making feedbacks based on what they have read from some of the decent and not so decent reviews on the inet, and maybe from personal knowledge derived from an aquaintance with the CPU/or whatever component, or perhaps they have some exposure to the component at their work place. Many, many people do work with compooters at their place of employment you know.;)

Yes, you can compare apples and oranges in many ways since they are both fruits and contain Vitamin C and other nutritional and important substances in varying concentrations. 'An apple a day keeps the doctor away.' is also applicable to an orange or other fruit substituting for the apple, although each fruit has unique concentrations of varying substances in it. Very similar to comparing the great variety of CPU's and other components with each other. :p

You know what Christ, thanks man. I'm glad to hear you to take reviews like this seriously.

Pros: Theyyyrree Back!!!! In Every test that ACUALY counts its trumps the 920 I7 at higher resolutions (WHERE YOU WANT TO PLAY WHERE EVERYONE PLAYS) This chip was not designed to TOUCH i7 920 and it beat it.

I can see you clearly your not one of the many who work with computers at their job or studying anything computer related.

You know what Christ, thanks man. I'm glad to hear you to take reviews like this seriously.

I have explained that there are some very good though occasional reviews at the Egg that are written by engineers, techies, and a few other knowledgeable people but that the vast majority of reviews are written by unkowledgeable KIDS and others not so knowledgeable and that one has to sort through the reviews to find a good one, just as one has to sort thorough the reviews put out by benchmark sites to find good ones, or to use an analogies it is like shopping for a new home, car, or searching for the best business deal you can get and then hammering out a business contract. So, you have not read nor comprehended completely what I wrote due to perhaps an attenetion deficit disorder or whatever.
