I'm not really a laptop guy so I really don't know the specifics with them. I was going to wait for the yonah but having a laptop now would be nice. My question is if i purchase an AMD Turion laptop now will i be able to upgrade to the later dualcore processor? I'm not sure if it uses the same socket or if the laptop mobo will support it later on?

The Turion is a Socket 754 chip, whereas the dual core models at present are all Socket 939. If AMD produces a dual core Turion in Socket 754 at a later date, then you would be able to swap it out (in theory - it might require a BIOS update). However, to the best of my knowledge, all announced dual-core CPUS at present will be Socket 939.

thats what i thought as well, but i didnt know for sure if amd was going to produce the dual core turion in 939....i guess ill just wait until yonah
