Hey guys.

As you can see, I'm new here, but I have a few questions

I am considering getting this card, but before I do I am curious to see what you all think of it. I look at some online reviews from those big sites, but I can't really talk to them so I am asking YOU. What do you think of this card?

Also if anyone has any benchmarks they made themselves I would love to see them to get an idea of what performance is really like because I don't really trust those bigger sites..

Thanks for your time!

Really fantastic card!
What else is in your system?
cpu, motherboard, ram ect.
What resolution do you play at?

At the moment, I have an AMD Phenom II 940 overclocked to 3.4ghz, but I plan to upgrade to a 2500k eventually.

I have an MSI 790x motherboard like you and 4GB of DDR2

I usually play at 1920x1080.

What performance difference would I see between my current GTX 465 that is OCed and a 6950 unlocked to a 6970?

It's faster by about 30-50%, here's my question. Is your 465 too slow? It's a decent card, and if you aren't having performance issues with it then it makes sense to wait for the 28nm 7000 and (what?? GT 6xx?? ) cards which should bring much larger performance increases later this year. If you really do need more performance right now, by all means don't wait, the 6950 should be a noticeable step up.

Ah so you mean a 6950 not a 6850. It's an upgrade, but not a huge one. At 1920x1200 you're only looking at about a 40% gain even if you unlock it.
