Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm wondering if anyone here knows of a bios editor that supports the hd 7970.
I use to use rbe but that is in limbo at the moment since the creator doesnt have time to work on it now.
Not sure what it is you're exactly trying to edit in the bios (there are two), however, if you are trying to unlock voltage for more OC headroom and higher core/memory, then you can either flash to a custom bios (which you can easily find on google on a certain forum) or you can simply unlock unofficial overclocking in MSI Afterburner through the cgf. file.
well oddily enough. I want to do my own custom bios. not one from some company out there.
I know my stable clockings and voltages and fan speeds so I'd prefer to take my own base bios and edit them out to what I know thats totally stable for overclocking the card so I dont have to mess with ab or any of that.
ELCID7777, you must not be familliar with Radeon Bios Editor. It's a pretty cool tool, allows you to change a bunch of stuff, default clocks, voltages, fan slope, etc. I have edited the bios on pretty much every single radeon I have owned. I pretty much always at LEAST give it a bit more aggressive fan slope.
