Sounds like AMD is going to be competing with Nvidia's TWIMTBP program. Have to wish them a lot of luck because I want to see this get popular and force Nvidia to support more open source stuff and dump PhysX.

Edit: No idea why I tossed this into video cards. Can a mod move this to the pc gaming section please?
 
If they could produce a physics library that competes with physx but using opencl then that would be great as chances are nvidia would open up physx to opencl too and we'd all be using physics (from either company).

However ati has a tradition of being all talk but no action.
 
Feels like ATI has been trying to do this every year or two and it never goes anywhere.
 
oh silly console gamers wishing they had better graphics and the ability to have true physics in a game.....


anyhow, interesting if it pans out....not holding my breath though
