I'm running an AMD Radeon HD 6850, I'm trying to run 2x DVI connected monitors and another HDMI connected TV. But it won't allow me to run all 3 simultaneously. The card is advertised as being able to support 6 monitors. How can I run all three monitors at once?

5000, 6000 and 7000 series card can only run two legacy displays at once (dvi, hdmi, vga). Third needs to be run off of one of the display port connectors.

Side note, i don't think that particular card can support six displays, most (or all) the ones that could had four display ports and two dvi's. The only way that card might support six is with a DP hub and a bunch of adapters, if that would even work.

You can use three monitors which are connected via DVI/HDMI only if they are all identical. This is true for 5000/6000/7000 as well as R7/R9 series.

Any additional monitors need to be connected via DisplayPort or an active Displayport->DVI/HDMI/VGA adapter.

In order to run 6 monitors off the card, you will need one or more DisplayPort MST Hubs.

Incorrect. You can connect any 3 monitors you want (as long as the 3rd one is on DisplayPort).

need display port monitor, has to do with the card only having 2 RAMDAC
