AMD duped by ATI?

I can't imagine anyone would argue that AMD paid a premium for ATI.
However, remember that the enthusiast market, for all of our bluster, is a miniscule part of the picture.

The console world is good for ATI, and in the mainstream PC market, ATI/AMD should be able to pull some market share from Intel integrated GPUs with the new hybrid crossfire technology.

[H]'s review of hybrid crossfire was very positive and allowed current games to be played at acceptable detail levels on "mom and pop" hardware. With stability and no special game drivers/profiles.

I'm not a fan of any manufacturer, today I'd prob buy a q6600 and a 8800gt, next quarter I might buy a phenom and hybrid xfire system, because it would be a great value for an occasional gamer.
 
I don't think this said duping happened, I speculate that said duping came in the form of robot womenz who perform sezual akts in teh bad.


Actually I really do not agree here, AMD knew exactly what they were doing when they acquired ATi.

The problem is AMD should have focused more on getting their CPUs up to par instead of grabbing ATi!!
