AMD Drivers

AMD has been very slow over the past 4 months to keep up with new game releases.

I am biased because I have Three way Crossfire and it has been a real struggle in the most recent releases because AMD has just flat out been way behind.

Now, when the drivers work, they work. Some are better, some suck.

I am unsure how well the new user-defined profile mechanism works because I haven't needed to try it. The thing is there though, and it pretty much like nvidia's.

Now I know AMD has been testing new software, released a new generation of GPUs and has some very cool EyeFinity stuff coming out so I guess we have to cut them a little slack......or not.

You set Force XXxAA for a certain game, but it doesn't get applied.

Happens with AMD too, but for both AMD and Nvidia I believe it's the fault of the game rather than the driver.

Display scaling options don't work for some or all resolutions (eg. you set 1:1 pixel mapping for 1440x1080 on a 1920x1080 monitor, but the image get's stretched anyway).

Display scaling is a pain to get working in Catalyst because of the hoops you have to jump through (the control is present, but grayed out unless you deliberately change your desktop's size to a non-native resolution--the Catalyst team has called this an intended feature for years now) but once it's set it always works.

If you asked this a week ago I'd also have included the fact that you can't force settings on a per-game basis, but now you can (though it's still a clunky interface compared to Nvidia's).
