AMD Brazos: Low performance with small files?

I'm using the SSD 320 80GB on an E-350 netbook with the AHCI drivers on the manufacturer's website. Look at my 4k speeds compared to some others I've found online.

My 4k R/W: 8MB and 14MB
880G motherboard: 21MB and 40MB

My access time: 0.237ms and 0.293ms
880G motherboard: 0.059ms and 0.083ms

What gives? Is Brazos really this bad with small files?
