Hey guys, I've got an A-xp 3000+ on a DFI lanpartry NFII ultra board. I'm surrently using 1 gig (2x512) kingston hyper-x ram (model KHX3200ULK2/1G) that is supposta be rated at pc3200 2-2-2-5 at 2.7v. Currently, i'm running a fsb of 225mhz (DDR450) with timings of 2-3-3-11 (heard that NF2's liked 11) at 1.725 vcore and 2.9V on the ram. This gets me a total of 2.36ghz on the processor with it's locked 10.5x multi.

Now, I traded the memory for some middle-of-the-road PDP stuff because it wouldn't work in my friends A8n-SLI w/ an FX-55. He couldn't make it run at PC3200 speeds to save his life in that system. We thought it might be the mobo cause he read somewhere ( I got no clue) that the A8N-SLI's dont like TCCD ram. But, when I installed the stuff in my rig, it wouldn't do pc3200 at the rated timings either. It took 2.8v and 2-2-3-11 to make it stable.

The rig is watercooled by a '77 bonni core, DDC-12v pump, and a TDX block with teh #5 plate. Temps range from the low 40's idle (with an ambient of 33-35) to the upper 40's after a long session of prime95.

so heres my questions:

1) is this a decent overclock considering the situation the ram was in?

2) what might have caused this ram to do what it has done?

3) is there any truth to the idea that the A8N-SLI's dont like TCCD ram?
