Hello,

I just got some information about the hardware requirements of the new AMD AOD Extreme.

Here is a SS of a internal AMD document which explains all the needs.

If you have all what is needed to improove your overclock, you can download AMD AOD Beta from here:

Hope you like it

That seems interesting. However, what exactly does 'this' accomplish? Is it like like a switch to pump more voltage into a processor or is it something like nvidia linkboost which clocks the HTT links higher?

What makes this "Advanced" is what I am trying to say?

LOL - this is not an AMD document; this isn't even the proper format for any internal correspondence.

Remember back when you had to connect your hard drive to the third or fourth SATA port on an nforce chipset to be able to overclock higher? What this basically looks like is they found a barrier in the southbridge that they've now addressed in order to push clocks higher. That what it seems to be anyway.

Nope, I must of came in when they fixed that bug, alto I did hear about it, switching between port 1 and port 4 didn't yield me a higher overclock. I also have never had the data corruption I have heard so much about from the nforce 4 chipset, but I may be the exception to the rule.

I believe it was <= NF3 although some of the later NF3's had properly synced pci clocks. I never had a problem with overclocking on my NF3 250GB board.
