my CPU is running at 52*C when idle... isnt it suppose to run in around the high 30's when idle? my p180 case blows air right over the heatsink and also blows air out in the same direction right after the heatsink. so why is my CPU so hot?

should i look towards getting a new CPU? or cooler? or what? i have never known for a AMD CPU to be this hot ever. and my old rig never got over 40*C under heavy loads (S939 A64 3400+)

so any ideas on why this is happening?

P.s. sorry if i don't make much sense, i am on drugs because i just got oral surgery (wisdom teeth removed and a bone graft for an implant) and i cant think completely straight.

what cooler do you have currently ?

also, have the temps always been like this or is it a recent occurrence.

i just noticed them awhile ago when i went to see how much i could OC (for fun)

i saw the temps and completely backed off from that idea though, i currently have the G-Power Lite Cooler on it from gigabye, but on the Stock cooling its the same temps (i just checked a couple hours ago)

i have not overclocked the processor even 1 hz, so i think it came like this... and i just never noticed before =/

could it just be manufactured poorly or something?
