AMD 7970 Specs

Has only just occurred to me that the 'embargo lift 9th january' slide has also been faked. Neither date is set in stone.

Yeah lol (could still be real).

The leaks/ rumours do have a habit of being true. Right now, I would actually bet they are going to use GDDR5 with a 384bit interface. Less than 20 days now (I should buy another advent calender).

Yep...also Ive been out of the game for awhile and just got back in.....do these companies just say "ok theyre done, check stores", or do they give a release date well in advance? I guess what I'm asking is how long of a buffer do they give from announcement of product to selling.

Recently they have been doing hard launches, where the product is available for sale at the same time it is announced. But the same rumors (or at least the ones I saw) that said 22 Dec also said product announcement on 22 Dec, with retail availability later.
