I'm talking about value, which is perfectly fine to discuss.
You're making it sound like I'm asking which is faster in Crysis or something.
 
And how do we know the value of these cards when we don't know the pricing or performance of them...?
 
If only Xfire worked perfectly! I think that if you don't buy a couple cards Xfired right to start, then you're better off just jumping on the slightly more expensive single GPU card.

The reason being that people tend to compromise and get a slower card for value with the intention of adding another one for Xfire/SLI later when things get cheaper... and they never do, because the next generation comes out by then which is twice as fast, and they replace it.

So, buy the best card that you can afford, and the HD6970 is certainly going to be there to fill that need.

We have no idea what the pricing will be. But I really hope it isn't like 449, though... that would be well over 500 bucks with tax, making it the most expensive single computer component I have ever bought. But it's still going to be a record breaker and I've decided that if I'm already spending around 350 bucks then I might as well go all the way.
